FAQs

Do I need a partner to join your Kizomba workshops?

No, you don't need a partner. We rotate partners during the class so everyone has the opportunity to practise leading and following with different partners.

Is Kizomba suitable for complete beginners?

Yes. Our beginner Kizomba bootcamps are designed for people with no previous dance experience. We start with the fundamental steps, rhythm and connection so you can feel comfortable dancing Kizomba from your very first session.

It is especially important to learn the fundamentals of Kizomba properly from the beginning. Our workshops focus on building these foundations — including connection, posture, and flow - so dancers can develop a comfortable and authentic Kizomba style.

How long does it take to learn Kizomba?

Most beginners can learn the basic steps and concepts in a single workshop. Like any partner dance, confidence and musicality develop with time, practice and social dancing.
